We are always looking for experienced volunteers to assist GSRV by conducting behavioural and health assessments, and by transporting our rescue dogs to vet appointments, foster carers and forever homes.

We are grateful for contributions made as we could not do what we do without the generosity of our volunteers.

GSRV see the safety of our volunteers as paramount. We will never knowingly put anyone in an unsafe environment however we do not always know the complete background of our dogs. This is why we need to ensure that we ask for volunteers with experience.

German Shepherds have needs that are unique to the breed and an experienced person is able to more accurately predict the behaviour of a particular animal and therefore keep themselves and the dog feeling comfortable and safe.
