Harlem (16 M.O | F)
Harlem is a playful 16-month-old working-line female who is seeking a like minded human, with energy to burn! She’s a friendly girl who loves people, and once she gets to know them, is extremely affectionate.
Harlem knows a number of basic commands and thrives when practicing them as well as when learning new things. As a working-line Shepherd, she is a dog that needs to be given the opportunity to exercise her body and mind every day. Harlem loves rope and tug toys, walks, playing chasey, going to the beach, and of course, belly pats from her people!
Harlem lacks confidence at times, and has perhaps not been socialised to the outside world as much as would be optimal – plenty of time for that though, with the right new family. Harlem would benefit from a breed experienced new Mum or Dad, along with more structure and stimulus that she is currently getting. Regular attendance at training would be extremely beneficial for Harlem.
Although she can be a little anxious when meeting new dogs, Harlem has lived with an older male GSD and would be okay living with a calm, confident large breed male, if introduced properly. Harlem has not been tested with cats or packet pets. Given she can be a little jumpy and over excited at times, Harlem would be best suited to a family with children no younger that 10 years old.
If you think you have the time and experience needed to take this loving bundle of energetic potential, and help her be all she can be, please fill in an adoption application online via our website, or email firstname.lastname@example.org if you are already on our waiting list.
